after 6-7 days is better..start with bottom watering to encourage more roots ...and after a month start normal top watering once thee soil is dry ..mine is been more than a week so i have been bottom watering

Depends on how dehydrated your plant is, also how much you disturbed her roots. If thirsty I would water next day. Also if you repot from your own soil mix so you don’t disturb her roots then you can water the next day. If you’re worried about damage roots then wait a few days before watering. But I find it harder to know when cactus is thirsty compared with echeveria, also cacti like water more than echeveria. And in Australia hot sun they prefer living under the porch, need less sun than echeveria. Just my experience 🌵

yes lol ..echeveria i can still get it but cactus its bit tricky so to be on safer side i wait and wait to water ..because once they are over-waterted it gone...now that its monsoon season here i can hold back watering even more ..i have seen my cacti get plumped even without watering looks like they are drinking too much moisture at night as the humidity is above 80 at night

no no dont mix cinder and garden soil ...because cinder retains moisture ..along with garden soil it will not be good ..as both together will retain moisture which will be excess and will take longer to dry

i dont have much idea about the names ..but you can check this video link if you find these get them ..they are super easy but very slow growing ...there is another species called euphorbia cactus they are super easy ..i will make a video once mine arrive ..i had grown one in my previous house very simple and it grows taller .. euphorbia ..these are thin and slender and then you have these columnar cactus which are like thick and fat ..they are easy to :) ruclips.net/video/pu1z3Mv9f_s/видео.html

oh wow thats exciting ...no sudden exposure to direct sunlight ....one week indirect but bright light with good intensity and then slow introduction to morning direct sunlight start with early morning 1 hour direct sunlight which is mild and slowly increase 1 hr each day ...no direct sunlight post 11 am

Sounds great! looks like your Rubin is very happy ...its very rare for a Rubin to bloom ..definitely in very good hands :)...Yes this is something what i realised few years back ...according to the books they are supposed to be dormant in winter.no grwoth whatsoever ...i have a typical tropical climate so i realised the dormancy doesn't work the same for my succulents ..i have mild winter so my echeveria and graptos both bloom at the same time...i guess 20-21c is more like summer for them and they feel comfortable in that temp ...its very good to know how succulents react so different outside their natural habitat.

east facing is best ....how its been since you shifted ...there could be a possibility of shock while shifting them or they are trying to adjust in new place ...at time they dont handle change of place positively unlike other plants ..also dont keep moving them from one place to another ....did you over water them or did you add anything extra in soil like fertiliser or something ?

Only one major change which is shifting .. n I m a bit doubt for the water.. yet I have started mineral water .. but I m very tensed by seeing them dying .. not needed at all …I have never used commercial rooting hormone…but yes at times I have used cinnamon powder which works as natural rooting hormone

hello ..no i dont do a double coat ..its a single coat of Faber-Castell they work best on clay,concrete,wood,plastic and even papercrete ..i m not sure if you get Faber-Castell there

yes sir Kolkata is not going to be an ideal environment for majority succulents…apart from heat the main reason is very high humidity…the only succulents that will do best in your city are Haworthia,aloes and aloewrothias..but echeveria will be very difficult to grow..even if you make the best soil as possible but the environment is major issue 😔

Try put them under slight shade for a while until they get used to direct morning sunlight.. sometime they get really used to lamp light so the temperature not the same. I guess.😅

very true the size and shape of the glass was perfect match ..it’s fit exactly under the roof and keep them safe from rain at the same time offer plenty of direct sun …everything fell in place perfectly…I so want to buy this place …hope it’s happens soon ….then I can make some permanent structure to grow succulents lol …thank you so much for your positive comments ☺️
